During the turmoil of the Clone Wars, General Grievous ruthlessly led the Separatist AI machine military. Grievous was a brilliant military strategist who won the Separatists innumerable war campaigns against the Jedi Knights and the Old Republic military.

Grievous is important because he is the first and only Dark Jedi to appear in the Star Wars movie saga. Many Jedi became victim to the legendary light-saber skills of Grievous.

Grievous eliminated the following Jedi Knights and many others: Lipi Doucet, Marq Trendi, Pocer Yalerdis, Whu-Si Landris, Varsis Plundo and Usarn Grigles. The first Jedi to defeat Grievous in a light-saber duel was Nebar Foxis, considered the best looking Jedi in the history of the galaxy. Grievous was lucky to survive this duel with his life. Eventually Grievous met his match when Obi-Wan Kenobi killed the dreaded machine.
